A short prayer
Saint Mary of Jesus Crucified, intercede for me, that I may let the Holy Spirit guide me with a humble heart.
Written for cento53 as a simple personal prayer of intercession — not a liturgical text.
Associated devotion: A short prayer to the Holy Spirit attributed to her, still widely prayed.

Private revelation
Ecstasies, the stigmata and other extraordinary phenomena are reported in her life. The Church canonised her for her holiness and humility; such phenomena are not part of the faith (CCC 67).
Tradition holds
26 August is the day she died; the date of her memorial in the Carmelite calendar is awaiting verification.
