A short prayer
Saint Lawrence, intercede for me, that I may see Christ in the poor and serve him with a generous heart.
Written for cento53 as a simple personal prayer of intercession — not a liturgical text.

Tradition holds
That he showed the poor to the prefect as the true treasures of the Church, and that he died on a gridiron, comes from early tradition (Saint Ambrose, Prudentius); historians debate the manner of his death.
